Anna Schluckebier
Founder of LU/MO | Movement Specialist | BFA, CPT, BASI Pilates

Anna Schluckebier is the visionary behind LU/MO (The Lucky Movement)—a mindful movement practice rooted in science, resilience, and the joy of embodiment. A summa cum laude graduate of Chapman University, Anna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in kinesiology and a minor in Leadership Studies. Her work is grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, and the belief that movement is a privilege—not a punishment.

With over a decade of experience in dance, functional training, and private coaching, Anna blends a strong academic foundation with real-world expertise. She is a certified Personal Trainer (ACE) and a BASI-certified Pilates instructor, and her teaching reflects the nuance and precision of both disciplines. Her career includes a standout role as a top trainer for the renowned Tracy Anderson Method, where she led luxury wellness experiences and worked with high-profile clients—sharpening her skills in customized training, adaptability, and discretion.

Today, Anna teaches at leading fitness studios across Los Angeles, including Burn LA and Hype Fitness, while working one-on-one with clients to build strength, restore confidence, and reconnect with their bodies. Whether in a private session or a group class, her goal is always the same: to meet you exactly where you are and guide you toward a deeper, more joyful connection with your movement.

LU/MO is the culmination of Anna’s lifelong study of the body—its intelligence, its resilience, and its profound capacity for change.

My Story -Why I Move

Movement has been my anchor—through joy, heartbreak, and flare-ups of chronic illness. I live with ulcerative colitis, a condition that has, at times, left me unable to get out of bed, let alone move freely. I know what it feels like to lose access to your body. I also know what it takes to reclaim it.

Through breath, strength, and joy, I fought to reconnect with myself. In doing so, I discovered that fitness isn’t just physical—it’s movement that’s emotional, spiritual, and deeply human. LU/MO was born from that reclamation. It’s more than a training method. It’s a space for anyone who has ever felt limited, defeated, or disconnected to remember their strength.

Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in studying not just movement science, but also anti-inflammatory nutrition, functional wellness, and the mind-body connection. Living with a condition that shifts daily has taught me adaptability, patience, and grace. I bring that lived experience to every client interaction—because I know every body is different, and every day is different.

LU/MO is my way of honoring the truth that movement is a gift. It’s where I help others rebuild trust in their bodies, find their rhythm, and experience the quiet power of simply being able to move another day.
